Purpose of the Internship

Kagiso Trust is committed to youth skills development and invites applications for its Socio-Economic Development Internship Programme. This opportunity aims to empower unemployed graduates aged between 18 and 35 with practical, work-based experience in socio-economic development initiatives.

The programme will run for a period of twelve (12) months and is ideal for individuals passionate about development, impact investing, and supporting sustainable economic growth in communities.

Key Areas of Exposure

Successful candidates will gain hands-on experience and exposure in the following areas:

Impact fund management and business support
Socio-economic programme design and implementation
Principles of entrepreneurship and commerce
SMME policy analysis
Business valuation and financial modelling
Stakeholder management and relationship building

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must submit certified copies of the following:

Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 certificate
Degree in Agricultural Economics and/or Agricultural Studies
South African ID document
Academic transcript
Updated CV (maximum of 3 pages)
Motivational letter explaining why your application should be considered

Remuneration

A monthly stipend will be provided for the duration of the internship.
