About the Opportunity
eThekwini Municipality is proud to announce its Work Experience Programme 2025/2026, offering outstanding opportunities for graduates with no previous work experience to acquire valuable practical skills and exposure in the field of Law.
This programme aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and the world of work, empowering graduates with hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to municipal legal operations. Successful candidates will contribute to projects within the Community Development Projects Branch under the Corporate and Human Capital Cluster, gaining meaningful insight into the workings of public sector legal, compliance, and investigative functions.
Fields of Study Considered
Applications are invited from graduates who hold qualifications in the following Law-related disciplines:

Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
-
Forensic Auditing / Investigations
-
Criminology
-
Internal Auditing
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this exciting programme, applicants must:

Be South African citizens.
-
Hold a recognized qualification or N6 Certificate for TVET students pursuing Work Integrated Learning (WIL) towards a Nated Diploma.

Ensure that qualifications are not older than five years.
-
Have not previously participated in any government or private sector Work Experience / Internship / In-service / WIL programme lasting 12 months or longer.

Demonstrate an interest in developing skills and experience within the legal and compliance sectors.

A monthly stipend ranging from R2 661.68 to R8 093.01, based on the level of qualification.
