The Graduate in Training Programme offers recent graduates the chance to gain hands-on experience and develop key skills within ABB’s dynamic teams. Although this position is currently part of ABB’s talent pipeline and not an immediate opening, applying now expresses your interest in future opportunities with ABB.
Your Role & Responsibilities
As a Graduate in Training, you will:

Gain knowledge and skills through vocational training while balancing learning between ABB and academic settings

Collaborate with internal teams to deliver effective solutions and implement process improvements

Monitor key operational metrics, track order statuses, and ensure on-time delivery
-
Identify trends and areas for improvement across processes and contribute ideas for enhancements
-
Follow instructions, practice new skills, and actively seek feedback for growth
-
Participate in regular meetings and training sessions to stay updated on ABB policies, procedures, and best practices
Possible Areas of Rotation
Depending on business needs, you could gain experience in areas such as:

Corporate Marketing & Communication: Branding, communications, and event management

Supply Chain Management or Logistics: Transport, trade, and supply chain operations

Human Resource Management: Employee lifecycle management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, and industrial relations

Finance or Accounting: Business controlling, accounts payable, and financial operations

Occupational Health & Safety: Health and safety campaigns, compliance, and risk management

Information Technology or Information Systems: Managing end-to-end technology systems and processes

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- Recent university graduate with a BA or BCom degree in:

Finance / Accounting

Human Resources

Supply Chain Management

Health & Safety

Marketing & Communication
- No more than 2 years of working experience
- South African citizen only
- High-performing academic record (minimum 65% average throughout studies)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong problem-solving, creative thinking, and innovative mindset
- Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership potential, and a strong desire to learn and grow
