About the Opportunity

AVBOB Mutual Assurance Society, a trusted company with over 100 years of history and strong values, invites unemployed South African graduates between the ages of 18-35 to apply for the 2025/26 Internship Programme.

As an intern, you’ll gain valuable experience working in the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) space, contributing to sustainability initiatives and supporting internal and external reporting requirements. Key Responsibilities

Collect baseline data for benchmarking and evaluating ESG performance against set targets
Conduct internal reviews of baseline data to ensure access to verifiable, accurate, and relevant information
Maintain the integrity of data on the monitoring and evaluation tools for accurate reporting
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper monitoring and evaluation of ESG initiatives

Minimum Requirements

- Diploma or Degree in one of the following fields (or other sustainability-related disciplines):

Environmental Sciences
Social Science
Law
Economics
Accounting
Internal Audit
Commercial Engineering

Computer literacy and strong quantitative skills
Keen interest in Sustainability / ESG
Good judgment and decision-making abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good listening skills
Problem-solving and analytical capabilities
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with numerical data
Resilience and ability to perform under pressure
