About the Opportunity

Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine is offering P1/P2 experiential learning opportunities for engineering students who require practical exposure to complete their qualifications. This programme provides valuable work-integrated learning, enabling students to gain hands-on experience in the mining industry and prepare for future career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

As an Engineering Intern (P1/P2), you will:

Adhere to the company’s conditions of employment, policies, and code of conduct
Initiate development discussions with supervisors and mentors
Maintain consistent performance standards
Seek feedback to support personal and professional growth
Take ownership and accountability for assigned tasks and responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate, with all subjects passed at 60% or above
- Currently pursuing one of the following qualifications:

Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Instrumentation Engineering
Metallurgical Engineering
- Minimum average of 60% in all major modules
- Letter from your university or institution confirming the requirement for P1/P2 exposure (must be attached to your CV)
- Up-to-date academic record (must be attached to your CV)
