About the Opportunity

Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine invites applications for the 18.2 Boilermaker Plater Learnership, designed to provide learners with exposure to both institutional learning and practical workplace experience. The learnership aims to help participants achieve an Artisan qualification at NQF Levels 3–4, equipping them with the skills needed to excel in the mining and engineering industries.

Historically disadvantaged South Africans will be given preference. Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine applies affirmative action principles as outlined in its Employment Equity Policy.

Key Responsibilities

As a Boilermaker Plater Learner, you will:

Adhere to all legislative requirements outlined in the learning agreement
Participate in a structured apprenticeship programme combining theoretical classroom learning and practical on-the-job experience
Demonstrate increasing competence and ability in your trade throughout the scheduled three-year programme
Engage in progressively challenging tasks to build skills and knowledge
Take responsibility for your own learning, asking questions and actively seeking information
Contribute to your employer’s productivity needs through your developing skills

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum Grade 12 with:

Mathematics
Natural Science

- N2 Certificate with 4 trade-specific subjects
