About the Opportunity

Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine invites applications for the Instrumentation Mechanician Learnership, designed to give learners valuable exposure to both institutional training and practical workplace experience. This learnership helps participants achieve an Artisan qualification at NQF Levels 3–4, preparing them for a successful career in the mining and engineering industries.

Preference will be given to historically disadvantaged South Africans. Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine is committed to applying affirmative action principles as outlined in its Employment Equity Policy.

Key Responsibilities

As an Instrumentation Mechanician Learner, you will:

Adhere to all legislative requirements specified in the learning agreement
Take responsibility for understanding your trade, applying your skills, and supporting the employer’s productivity needs
Take ownership of your training by asking questions and actively seeking knowledge
Demonstrate the required ability and competence as outlined in the apprenticeship programme over the three-year duration
Participate in progressively challenging tasks, combining classroom learning with practical, on-the-job training
Contribute to achieving industry standards in your trade occupation

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

- Minimum Grade 12 with:

Mathematics
Natural Science

- N2 Certificate with 4 trade-specific subjects
