Purpose of the Role

This learnership offers the learner a combination of formal classroom learning and practical workplace experience. The goal is to help the learner obtain an Artisan qualification at NQF Level 3 to 4. This qualification aligns with the needs of Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine and supports a successful apprenticeship through both on-the-job and off-the-job training.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Follow all legislative requirements outlined in the Learning Agreement.

• Understand the trade thoroughly, develop relevant skills, and contribute effectively to the employer’s productivity.

• Take charge of your own training by actively asking questions and seeking answers.

• Show competence and progress as expected within the 3-year apprenticeship period.

• Complete progressively challenging tasks through a combination of practical work and classroom training to meet industry standards.

 

Qualifications

• Minimum of Grade 12 with Maths and Natural Science OR N2 with 4 trade-specific subjects.
