Purpose of the Role

This learnership is designed to give learners both theoretical knowledge and practical workplace training, helping them achieve an Artisan qualification at NQF Level 3 or 4. The programme meets Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mine’s operational needs and aims to ensure a successful apprenticeship journey through a blend of on-the-job and classroom learning.

Key Responsibilities

Comply with all legal requirements outlined in the Learning Agreement.
Gain a solid understanding of the trade, develop the necessary skills, and contribute to the mine’s productivity.
Take initiative in managing your learning by asking questions and seeking clarification when needed.
Demonstrate progress and competence as required by the apprenticeship standards within the 3-year duration.
Participate in a structured programme that includes practical work and classroom-based training, progressing through increasingly challenging tasks to meet industry standards.

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 with Maths and Natural Science OR N2 Certificate with 4 trade-related subjects.
