About the Opportunity

eThekwini Municipality is pleased to offer exciting opportunities for graduates with no prior work experience through its Work Experience Programme 2025/2026. This initiative provides graduates the chance to gain practical exposure, develop critical skills, and enhance employability in various management and business-related fields.

Successful candidates will contribute to projects under the Municipality’s Community Development Projects Branch, acquiring hands-on experience and insight into the workings of public service and community development while developing professional networks and personal growth.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements to qualify:

Be South African citizens.
Possess a recognized tertiary qualification or an N6 Certificate (for TVET students pursuing Work Integrated Learning for Nated Diploma completion).
Ensure qualifications are not older than five years.
Must not have previously participated in any Government or Private Sector Work Experience / Internship / In-service / WIL programme for 12 months or longer.
Demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing practical experience in management, business, or related disciplines.
