About the Opportunity
eThekwini Municipality invites applications for its Work Experience Programme 2025/2026, offering an exceptional opportunity for graduates in Engineering and Built Environment fields who currently have no prior work experience.
This initiative is designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical workplace experience, equipping young professionals with essential skills and exposure to real-world municipal projects. Successful candidates will be placed in the Community Development Projects Branch, gaining invaluable experience and contributing to the infrastructure and development goals of the municipality.

Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this programme, applicants must:

Be South African citizens.
-
Hold a recognized tertiary qualification or N6 Certificate for TVET students pursuing Work Integrated Learning for Nated Diploma completion.

Ensure that qualifications are not older than five years.
-
Not have previously participated in any Government or Private Sector Work Experience / Internship / In-service / WIL programme lasting 12 months or longer.

Demonstrate a genuine interest in gaining practical experience in engineering or built environment fields.
