About the Programme

The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), an agency of the dtic, is offering a 24-month Graduate Internship Programme aimed at developing youth skills and providing workplace experience. Interns will be based at the CIPC offices in Sunnyside, Pretoria.

What is an Internship?
Internships, as defined by Cabinet in 2002, are designed to give unemployed graduates practical workplace exposure linked to their studies. This allows them to gain the skills and experience needed for future careers in the public sector.

Who Can Apply?

Unemployed South African graduates who have completed their degree/diploma.
Graduates with no previous work experience.
Graduates who have never been part of an internship before.
Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.

Stipend
A monthly stipend of R12 000 will be paid. Successful candidates will also be required to sign an Internship Agreement..

Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following:
- Project Management
- Information Systems
- Information Technology
- Computer Science
- Or a related field
Basic knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
Project management coursework or certifications (e.g., CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation) will be an added advantage.

Qualifications and citizenship will be verified.
If you studied abroad, ensure your qualification is evaluated by SAQA.
