Overview

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) is offering a 24-month internship and TVET placement programme for unemployed South African youth. This initiative aims to provide valuable workplace experience to graduates and students who are completing qualifications from universities, universities of technology, or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges.

The programme runs from 2026 to 2028, and successful candidates will gain hands-on experience within the NPA’s various departments.

 

About the NPA

Internship Details

Duration: 24 months (2026–2028)
Type: TVET placement and graduate internship
Stipend: R6 659.25 per month
Location: Kimberley

Important: This internship is a once-off opportunity. Candidates who have previously participated in an NPA internship will not be considered.

 

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be South African citizens

  • Be unemployed and not currently participating in any other internship programme

  • Have no criminal convictions or pending cases

  • Be TVET learners requiring practical experience or graduates from a university/university of technology
