🌟 Programme Overview

The Free State Department of Sport, Arts, Culture and Recreation invites applications from passionate and qualified graduates for its SASSETA-funded Internship Programme for the 2025–2027 period.

This initiative aims to equip unemployed graduates with valuable work experience, practical exposure, and professional skills within the public service environment. Successful candidates will sign a 24-month internship contract and be placed in various departmental units according to their field of study.

Note: Applicants who have previously participated in an internship programme within the public or private sector will not be considered.

 

Employment Equity

The department upholds its Employment Equity Plan and encourages applications from youth, women, and persons with disabilities. Preference will be given to candidates whose appointment will enhance representativity in the Free State Provincial Government.

Internship: Risk Management

Internship: Internal Audit

Qualification required: National diploma or Degree in Internal Auditing (NQF 6/7)

 

Internship: Infrastructure (Engineering/Architecture/Quantity Surveying)

Qualification required: Degree or BTech in Civil Engineering, Building, Architecture, or Quantity Surveying (NQF 6/7)

 

Internship: Health & Safety
