Graduate Internship Opportunity – Corporate Disclosure & Compliance Regulation

Description :

About the Programme

The Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC), a proud member of the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (the dtic), is dedicated to youth skills development. We are offering a Graduate Internship Programme designed to provide recent graduates with hands-on work experience, bridging the gap between academic learning and practical application in the corporate disclosure and compliance sector.

This internship is a structured 24-month programme aimed at developing the next generation of professionals in corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory processes.

What is an Internship?

As defined by Cabinet in December 2002, this internship is a public service graduate work experience initiative targeting unemployed graduates. It allows participants to gain workplace exposure, practice their academic skills in a professional environment, and build the foundation for a successful career.

Eligibility:

  • South African citizens aged 18–35 years.

  • Recent graduates who have completed a diploma or degree in BTech, BCom, BSc, or related fields in ICT or Computer Science.

  • Applicants must not have prior work experience or previous participation in any CIPC Internship programme.

What We Offer

  • A monthly stipend of R12,000 to support living expenses during the internship.

  • A comprehensive work experience in corporate disclosure, compliance regulation, and related administrative and technical functions.

  • Mentorship and professional development, providing practical exposure that complements academic learning.

Important: Successful candidates will be required to sign a Graduate Internship Programme Agreement.

Application Requirements

To be considered, applicants must upload the following documents correctly in the “Supporting Documents” section of the online application:

  • Certified copy of Identity Document (ID)

  • Relevant qualification certificate (degree/diploma)

Failure to upload any of these documents or uploading to the wrong section will result in automatic disqualification.

Note: Foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA).

Selection Process

  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to selection interviews at a date, time, and location determined by CIPC.

  • Only shortlisted candidates will receive feedback.
