About the Organisation

The East London Industrial Development Zone (ELIDZ) is a state-owned enterprise established through South Africa’s Special Economic Zones Programme. Its mission is to promote economic growth in the region by developing and maintaining world-class infrastructure and attracting strategic investments.

ELIDZ is inviting undergraduate students who require experiential learning as part of their qualification to apply for internship placements. The duration of the internship varies between 3 to 18 months, depending on the requirements of each applicant’s academic programme and the signed internship agreement.

 

AVAILABLE AREAS OF EXPOSURE

STP LABORATORY

Field of study: Microbiology / Biochemistry / Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry

 

Human Capital Management

Field of study: Human Resources Management

 

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Currently enrolled at an accredited institution of higher learning.

• Must provide an approved Request for Experiential Training Letter from the institution.

• Must attach a full academic record (top-performing students will be given preference).

• Must be a South African citizen (priority will be given to applicants residing within Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality).

• Must be under the age of 35.

• Persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
